Irene Gregory was definitely a "classy" lady.....always supporting the Reunion activities and greeting everyone with a warm and genuine smile.  She will be missed a lot and my sincere condolences to her family and friends from SHS.

Itene was one of my best friends when we moved into River Park.  We were friends all the way through grade school, Kit Carson and Sac High and beyond.  We used to tease each other about who was the "tallest ".  We kept in touch through the years and got to spend time together before, during and after our 50th Reunion.  Her death was a shock to me.  She will be missed.  My prayers and love go out to Bill and the rest of her family.

I was a River Park resident for my senior year at SHS. Irene was one of the few people I knew there.  I associate our acquaintance with swimming, so I guess we might have first met at the pool or the beach.  Then as now, it was very nice knowing her.

Irene and I would, at times, spend family vacations together, me with her family in Pacific Grove and she with my family in Santa Cruz. It was on one of those summer trips to Santa Cruz that Irene met her future life partner, Bill, and I met his cousin Perry.  I never saw Perry again, but obviously Irene and Bill hit it off and the rest is history.  We had a lot of fun in those coming of age years in River Park. So sorry to hear of her passing. Rest in peace.
