I remember Vardi from El Dorado all the way through SHS. A very special person. Will remember the talent shows at El Dorado on Friday. He was a great singer. RIP, my friend.

Oh, I also remember him.  I attended El Dorado from K - 6th and then on to Kit Carson.  That's right..Vardi was his nickname.  He was a very kind person, and always had nice things to say about everyone.  So sad.

I also went to the 5th and 6th grade at El Dorado and remember having a friendship with Vardi.  This was taken of us( Vardi on the right ) in my Uncle's backyard on N st right across the street from Kit Carson's playground. RIP Vardi!!

RIP Vardi.  I remember you from Kit Carson and Sac High as a kind and easy to talk to friend.  You will be missed by all who knew you.

I got to know Vardy at Sacramento High School.  One very close group that he spent a lot of time with included Gary Taylor, Alfred Lee, Frank Okita, and me (Rod Mock).  We all spent some of our Summer breaks at Donner Lake together and just hung out together after school.  Vardy had a quiet personality and gentle person.  When I was in Viet Nam I would send him my undeveloped film that he would develop and place in an album that he would maintain and share with friends back home.  I didn't really get to appreciate what he was doing for me until many years later.  I had been looking for him for the last two years unsuccessfully until sadly hearing about his passing from our good friend Gary.  Vardy served in the US Air Force for 20 years and retired as a Major.  He also was involved with rebuilding a local military hospital in Barstow, CA.  He loved all animals and people.  Sometimes appreciations for past friends comes late.  I miss you and know that many of your old friends miss you too.

My dear friend, Vardi...rest in peace, my friend.  We have known each other since El Dorado, through Kit Carson and Sac High.  I have always looked for you at the reunions.  We were dance partners in the talent show and I had such a "crush" on you.  You will be dearly missed.
