Time to rattle my mind's marbles! After graduation I went to Sacramento City College for two years while working for the State of CA. Graduated from CSUS as an adult and began an exciting career at UCD (retiring in 06). I served as Principal Labor Relations Analyst: involved in adult training, grievance hearings, contract negotiations, & arbitrated cases before ALJs. Also worked in Indian Heath Education and in Special Infant Education. After retirement, I worked as a management and education consultant, but enjoy retirement so much more. I'm now traveling and making new acquaintances. I continue to live in Sacramento and remain interested in community and social activities, art, service, reading, and exercising. Life is pretty darn good!

School Story

After graduating SHS, I didn't scale any mountains nor hit the lottery; I forged straight ahead, reared two wonderful and successful offspring (as a single parent) and retired from a career I loved. Actively participating on Reunion Committees for 50 years has afforded me renewed friendships with former classmates (whom I valued then and now)! SHS offered a unique experience in that it was diversified, respectful, and accepting in most areas. Those were the days! I loved the football games, school dances and the great SHS Dance Band we had! SHS was a wonderful school and though challenges some times presented themselves, you could always count on your friends as everyone came together! At SHS, three special fellas invited me to join a "fraternity" of funny guys: Glenn Takai, Albert Wilson, & Walt Saunders. We laughed, talked, and just enjoyed our friendships. Great friends, all of them.
Go Dragons!!

I knew Annie at SHS and we'd visit every once in a while, but it wasn't until after SHS that I really came to appreciate her.  She married a friend of the family and we'd see each other at family reunions, parties, and dinner celebrations.  Annie always attended SHS gatherings and though she'd often comment that she didn't really know many who attended, she loved seeing faces from long ago....  Annie was a skilled cosmetologist and had quite a following who valued her bubbly personality and straight forward approach; she never minced her words.  You'll be missed, Annie.  Blessings

I didn't know David well at SHS but I do remember him for his shyness.  As an adult, I knew him a bit better through his dear friend Jim Lange (also a SHS alumni).  Jim thought the world of David and visited him in the Philippines whenever he could.  Jim would show me the pictures of their "escapades" and would share what a dear and good friend David was to him.  Whenever David came stateside, Jim would open his home to David for an extended stay and they enjoyed being friends.  I knew Jim for a very long time and if he considered you a good friend, then you were all right!  Rest David McLean and Jim Lange.
