Don passed away on October 27th of this year from a battle with Cancer. So sad to loose another classmate. My condolences to Don's wife and family. May you RIP Don.
Don Berg was one of those happy and friendly fellas that always said, "Hi!" to you. I remember he looked so cute in his SHS baseball uniform and he wore it with pride. I think he also played basketball because he was so tall (surely one of the SHS coaches recruited him)! Over and above Don's involvement in sports, he was the nicest fella and a gentleman who will indeed be missed. Condolences to his family.
My memory of Don was playing Babe Ruth and Sacramento High School baseball for 5 years. He was an awesome pitcher who led his Dragons to the Metropolitan League City Baseball Championships in 1964, beating McClatchy High School in the championship game. Don as others have confirmed led with an awesome positive attitude, whether he started or came in relief with the bases loaded. RIP Don
Don was so likeable and a great baseball player,. I am sorry toi hear of him passing. A man not to be forgotten. My sincerest condolences to his family.
