I am so saddened to hear of Jan's passing. We were really close friends during our years at Sutter Jr. High School. She and her parents managed a large Apartment Building across the street from Capitol Park. I was at her house a lot. We planned a huge dance one year in the parking garage. Her parents blocked off a section of the area so we could set up an area to dance. Of course most of the night the boys stayed on one side of the area and the girls on the other. We finally started a snowball dance to get things going and the party was over too early.

My heart goes out to her family.

I remember Jan very well.  She was so sweet and kind.  She could light up the room with her smile.  I feel very blessed to have known her at SHS.  God be with your family, Jan.

I remember her as having a great sense of humor. In later years she played  in a very accomplished bell choir that presented beautiful inspirational music at my church, the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. I will miss her very much. Blest be her memory.

I am so saddened to learn of Jan's passing.  She was part of our orchestra group which was a very special group of people. She could keep us laughing, always lighting up the room or Assembly Hall in the AM before school started.  I remet her at Camp Sacramento one year when we both had little kids, and it was such a delight to have that reconnection!  I remember her at one of our reunions dancing to one of the western 2-steps and really enjoying herself.  It makes me smile even now as I recall the memory!  Blessings and peace to her and her family.  You were a true light to us, Jan!

Jan has been one of my best friends since Junior High.  She was a special person in many ways and I am already missing her very much.  I know she is with our Lord and that brings me comfort.

I was taken aback when I heard of Jan’s passing. Sad. She was so nice and always smiling and saying, “Hi!”
