Mary and I met at Stanford Junior High School, and our friendship lasted until her passing. I remember the day we walked from her house on 3rd Avenue to the Social Security Office on 15th & L Streets to get our Social Security Cards. Years later we discovered that our Social Security numbers were identical except for one digit. We used to spend hours talking on the telephone. I will deeply miss my friend, but I take comfort in knowing she is at peace. Pursuant to Mary's request there will be no Celebration of Life service.
Mary Hampton was one of the nicest classmates at Stanford and Sac High. I first met Mary at Stanford and she always had a smile & "Hi" for everyone. She was quiet, friendly, and had positive and kind words for everyone. I'm sorry to hear of her passing and my condolences to her family and friends.
