Jim was such a great guy. He would invite my little sister and me over to swim in the summer. So sorry to hear that he has passed away. Does anyone know what happened? He was such a happy person. I hope he had a good life.
Jim wasa good friend. He lived two short blocks away from me. We would often walk together down M Street to and from David Lubin Elementary School. My sister Helen (2 years behind us in school) was close to Jim's sister Roberta. Talking with Helen recently I asked if she knew what happened with Jim. She emailed Roberta that Jim's friends and classmates were getting together for their 60 year reunion, that he would be missed, and they would appreciate knowing a little more about his life. So here's information from Roberta:
James William Richards of Campbell, CA, died September 4, 2010, aged 63. He died from colon cancer and was interred at the Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary in Santa Clara. He was married with three children and grandchildren. His death was very hard on the family.
I'm sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Jim was super nice and happy. I remember whenever I saw him at SHS he was always talking to someone and smiling broadly. Jim was one of the good guys.
