It's difficult to acknowledge Walt passed. We reconnected 12 years ago and wrote each other regularly.  He was a walking smile from ear to ear (even across the miles).  For those of you who may not know, Walt served in the US Army, then later went to college and graduated.  He worked for a variety of community agencies in his adult years and became a father for the first time 19 years ago!  Walt lived in a variety of places, but returned stateside (from the Philippines) about 10+ years ago.  He loved SHS and all of his former classmates....always wanting to know how everyone was doing.  He cared about you and savored his memories of SHS.  As years passed, Walt had physical challenges & illnesses and eventually, succomed to them.  My heart hurts, but I will always remember his smiles and hugs.  Rest in peace dearest friend; you're remembered!

Many thanks to all of you for posting your memories of Walt.  I, too, remember his warm smile and friendliness toward everyone.  How fitting that he worked for a number of community agencies!  I'm sure he was a prized employee.  Lifting up your family in prayer, Walt.

Walt was one of those guys who everyone loved.  Ran into him years after High School, he was the same friendly, big smile, generous guy who left you feeling that he really cared. RIP Walt!

I remember Walt and always thought he was so good looking.  Enjoyed watching him play football.  But unfortunately I didn't know him.  RIP Walt.
