Richard passed away last week while visiting his daughter in New Jersey. Richard and Lolita had just been to the 60th Reunion on the 22nd of September. Our condolences go out to Lolita and her family. May Richard REST IN PEACE.
This was such a shock. Bill and I sat across from Richard and Lolita at the reunion and had so much fun talking with them. He was able to sit with Don Graf and several other guys from our class. I really enjoyed listening to them walking down memory lane. Our hearts and prayers go out to Lolita and her family.
Richard Warner was so much more than one of the most popular fellas at SHS. Richard was kind, smart, gentle, friendly with everyone, and always carried a shyish broad smile with him. His passing hurts because he enjoyed life so much; he enjoyed his reunions with his "team buddies", and so many friends from long ago. I remember the 50th Reunion, he and Lolita made the trip from Bermuda, and he looked so dashing in his Bermuda shorts suit! They both made such a handsome couple. This 60th Reunion gave many the last opportunity to see them again and still, he had that dashing, warm smile and grace he always carried. Richard will indeed be missed, but he gave us the gift of knowing him and seeing him and visiting with him, one last time....thank you, Richard and Lolita. Blessings to his family.
So sorry to hear of Richard's passing. He was my best friend at Stanford Junior High. I used to walk to his house before school and even have breakfast with him before we would walk to school together. We were in band together, he played trumpet and I played saxophone. He was Student Body President and I was Vice-President. A quality person. Sorry I couldn't make the reunion. Lolita, my thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

I am in shock! We sat at the table next to him and his wife. They were having such a good time. RIP Richard.
