I can't remember one instant when you ran into Bob and he didn't have the biggest grin on his face and seemed genuinely happy to see you! If your day was going "less than perfect", he always made it better for you.....
Every time we had class Reunions and other gatherings, I tried hard to get him to go, but he was always busy.....and we missed him and his great smile a lot! Blessings Bob and thank you for some wonderful SHS memories!
I am so sorry to hear the sad news. Bob was always so much fun and had the best smiles for all of us. His kindness will not be forgotten. RIP, Bob! Condolences to the family.
My earliest memories of Robert Davis Gibson are him being my very first boyfriend and riding on his bike with him as he delivered the Sacramento Bee on his paper route in River Park that included my street. We lived only blocks apart and enjoyed each other off and on through high school and beyond. He holds a very special place in my heart and will never be forgotten... my first love! As the memories come flowing back, another very special one was the Christmas when his special "gift" was a beautiful Black Onex ring. He was so excited and happy with it that he came over to show me. I, for some reason needed to touch and hold this beautiful gift and somehow it slipped through my fingers, landing on the ground and when picked up a corner of the stone had been chipped. OMG! Not only did I feel awful but he had to go home and tell this story to his Dad, George.
It is with a humble heart that I offer my condolences to his family and friends. A very special soul and one I could never forget.
I am so very saddened by the loss of Bob. He was my first major "crush" and every reunion I wanted to see him but he never showed up. He was such a great person and so much fun! I have and will always have the best of memories of Bob.
